BO7 Season 6 Weapons: Cronus Zen Retune Guide

Season 6 added the VMP and TR51 Para, and only the AK-27's Battle-Scar kit changed recoil. Here is how to measure your own values per weapon instead of copying them.

Your anti-recoil values worked fine three weeks ago. Then you pulled the VMP out of the Battle Pass and your first magazine went into the dirt a foot under the target. Nothing broke, and the patch did not quietly nerf your script.

Here is the short version. BO7 Season 6 added two new primaries, the VMP submachine gun and the TR51 Para assault rifle, and the official Activision patch notes list exactly one recoil change across the entire weapon pool. That change is the AK-27's Battle-Scar Conversion Kit, which reduces the weapon's recoil, so a value tuned before Season 6 now overpulls on that specific build.

Everything else you are feeling is a per-weapon value problem on a gun you have not tuned yet. New weapon, new recoil pattern, new number. The fix takes about four minutes per gun.

What actually changed in BO7 Season 6?

Season 6 launched on September 16, 2026, and it is the last full season before Modern Warfare 4 arrives on October 23, 2026. Two of the four new weapons matter for recoil control. The other two are a melee weapon and a special, so your anti-recoil never touches them.

Weapon Class How you unlock it Needs retuning?
VMP Submachine gun Battle Pass Yes
TR51 Para Assault rifle Battle Pass Yes
Arcblade Melee Event reward No
Roc 20mm Special Event reward No

The AK-27 case is the sneaky one. If you run the Battle-Scar Conversion Kit, the gun now kicks less than the version you built your value around. Your old number is doing too much work and dragging your aim below the chest.

Why does your anti-recoil feel wrong on the VMP?

An SMG and an assault rifle do not climb the same way. The VMP fires faster and spreads sooner, so a value tuned on a slower assault rifle pulls down harder than the gun actually rises. You read that as your shots sinking under the target through the back half of the magazine.

Run the TR51 Para with the same value and you often get the opposite. It is a different climb curve on a different fire rate, and one shared number cannot serve both. This is the same overpull problem covered in our guide to anti-recoil that is set too strong, just triggered by a new gun instead of a new patch.

Copying a number sheet off a video is where most players lose a week. Values are tied to the sensitivity and deadzone they were measured at, so someone else's VMP number is a starting guess at best.

How do you retune per weapon without guessing?

The Cronus Zen ships with a diagnostic panel that removes the guesswork, and almost nobody uses it. Zen Studio's Device Monitor shows two things side by side: the raw input coming off your controller, and the output the Zen is actually sending to the console after your script has processed it. Per the official Cronus documentation, it needs the Zen connected to your computer through the PROG USB port with a mini-USB cable.

Work one weapon at a time:

  1. Open the Device Monitor in Zen Studio with the Zen on the PROG port.
  2. Click the right stick vertical field to plot it, then hold fire in a private match and watch the output trace instead of the crosshair.
  3. Use Pause Plot to freeze the graph mid-magazine so you can read the shape of the pull rather than guess at it.
  4. Adjust the value in small steps until the output trace flattens across the magazine, then Capture the plot so you have a reference for that gun.
  5. Repeat for your second primary. Two guns, two numbers, written down.

Two readouts on that panel save you from chasing the wrong problem. CPU Load tells you whether the Zen is keeping up, and the docs put the comfortable ceiling at 80 percent. VM Speed is adjustable between 1ms and 40ms with a 10ms default, so if someone told you to change it and your timing went strange, that is your first thing to put back.

If you would rather start from numbers other players have already measured on these guns, the tuning channels in the ScarZens Discord where BO7 players post their working values will get you to a sane baseline faster than any video will.

How do you run separate setups for AR and SMG?

Two numbers mean two configurations, and you do not want to be plugging into a laptop between matches. The official docs describe a remote slot change: a controller combination that swaps the active memory slot without touching Zen Studio. On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 controllers the first toggle is PS plus SHARE and the second is PS plus L3, and on Xbox One X and Series controllers it is the Xbox button plus VIEW and the Xbox button plus LS.

Set your assault rifle configuration in one slot and your SMG configuration in another. Then the swap is a two-button press on the controller in your hands.

Worth knowing before you experiment: Erase Memory Slots clears every slot but leaves your other device options alone, while a Factory Reset wipes the slots and the options together. Reach for the first one, not the second.

Does Laser Elite already cover the Season 6 guns?

This is the fair objection, so here is what the product page actually says. Laser Elite is tuned for Black Ops 7 and Warzone and runs on PS5, Xbox and PC. Its anti-recoil is per weapon with adjustable values, which is the part that matters here, because a new gun means a new slot in a system that already expects one.

It also carries full auto weapon detection, listed as one of the only BO7 scripts with it, so there is no manual profile switching on PS5 controllers and on PS5 plus PC. Aim assist boosting mods, movement mods and gameplay perks are included, along with regular updates and active support. On the live product page at time of writing it rates 4.9 out of 5 across 625 reviews, and sits at $49.99 USD down from $58.99 USD.

If Fortnite is your other game, the same per-weapon logic applies there and Luna Elite is the Fortnite equivalent, priced the same at time of writing. You can see both alongside the rest of the Cronus Zen scripts collection.

Should you tune for Season 6 or wait for MW4?

Do both, in that order. MW4 lands October 23, 2026, and your BO7 and Warzone play does not stop the day it drops. A clean per-weapon baseline now is the thing you will be comparing against when you move titles, and the measuring process above does not change between games.

BO7 Season 6 Cronus Zen FAQ

Do I need a new value for the VMP and the TR51 Para separately?

Yes. They are different classes with different fire rates and different climb patterns, so a single shared number will overpull on one and underpull on the other. Measure each one once and keep both.

Did Season 6 change recoil on existing weapons?

Per the official Activision patch notes for Season 6, the only recoil change listed is the AK-27's Battle-Scar Conversion Kit, which reduces the weapon's recoil. If you run that attachment, lower your value for that build. Every other gun in your loadout should feel the same as it did before September 16, 2026.

Why do values I copied from a video never feel right?

Anti-recoil is relative to the sensitivity, deadzone and controller it was measured on. Change any of those and the same number produces a different pull. Treat a copied value as a starting point and verify it against your own output trace.

Can I switch between two setups without a computer?

Yes. The documented remote slot change uses a controller button combination to move between memory slots, so once both configurations are programmed you never need the laptop mid-session. The combination depends on which controller you have connected.

Will my BO7 setup carry over to Modern Warfare 4?

The measuring method carries over completely, the specific numbers will not. MW4 is a new weapon pool on a new launch build, so expect to rebuild per-weapon values the same way you built these. Accurate as of October 2026, ahead of the October 23 launch.
