BO7 Season 6 Cronus Zen Script: What Changes Sept 17

Every season drop puts the same question in your head. Does your Zen setup still work on day one, or are you spending launch night in Zen Studio instead of in a lobby?

Here is the short answer. Black Ops 7 and Warzone Season 06, called The Haunting, goes live on September 17 at 9AM PT across all platforms, and Activision confirmed the content in its September 8 blog post. Your existing anti-recoil values for current guns are untouched by a seasonal content drop.

What is actually landing in BO7 Season 6?

Activision detailed four new weapons in the Season 06 announcement. Two arrive through the Battle Pass and two come from events and challenges.

The VMP is the returning Black Ops 4 SMG. Activision describes it as a full-auto gun with fast handling, a fast fire rate and reliable accuracy, sitting alongside the MPC-25 for reload and ADS speed. It ships with 40 rounds in the base magazine.

Will your Cronus Zen script still work after the Season 6 update?

A seasonal content drop adds weapons and maps. It does not rewrite how your controller talks to the console, which is the layer your script operates on.

What does change is the shape of your loadout. If you pick up the VMP on September 17 and your script is still applying a profile tuned for a heavier AR, your shots will pull in a direction the gun does not actually kick. That mismatch is the number one reason people think a script broke when it did not.

How should you tune the three new Season 6 guns?

Start conservative and add pull, rather than starting heavy and fighting your own script. Here is the read on each based on how Activision describes them.

• VMP: stable platform, high rate of fire. Expect a light vertical value, closer to what you run on the MPC-25 than on any AR.
• TR51 Para: semi-auto with minimal recoil at base. Very little vertical compensation needed until you change its fire mode.
• Roc 20mm: a 20mm semi-auto cannon with heavy recoil, low RPM and poor handling. This one wants a genuinely aggressive profile.

The TR51 Para has a catch worth flagging. Its Prestige attachment, the 18.5 inch MFS Fallen Angel Barrel, converts it to slow-firing full auto and Activision says it loses some controllability in exchange for bullet velocity. Treat converted and unconverted TR51 as two different guns when you set values.

The Roc 20mm has a similar fork through the MFS Warhead Autoloader magazine, which turns it full auto and reduces accuracy. Prestige attachments that change fire mode change recoil behavior, so re-tune after you equip one.

Which new attachments will move your recoil values?

Two of the Weekly Challenge attachments are worth watching if you run existing guns. The Dravec 45 Aftermath Vertical Magazine improves ballistics, handling and mobility, but Activision states it negatively impacts recoil control. Bolt that on and your saved Dravec 45 profile is no longer correct.

The VS Rebound Havoc Repeater is a fire mod for the VS Recon sniper that converts it to fast-firing semi-auto with ricocheting rounds. Any sniper profile you built around single, slow shots needs revisiting once that is equipped.

How do you prep your Zen before September 17?

Do this in the days before launch, not at 9AM PT while your squad waits. It takes about ten minutes.

1. Free up a memory slot. The Cronus Zen has eight memory slots at 32KB each, and you assign any mix of scripts and profiles across them. In the Programmer panel you drag a slot to the trash icon, then click Program Device to confirm the deletion.
2. Reprogram your slots. Program Device writes every configured slot to the Zen at once, so make your changes and write them in a single pass.
3. Learn the remote slot change combo. You can switch slots from the controller without touching a PC. On a PlayStation controller the combos are PS plus Share and PS plus L3, and on Xbox they are Xbox plus View and Xbox plus LS, per the official Cronus Device panel documentation.
4. Test with Device Monitor. It shows live I/O data, CPU load, input display and memory slot control, which is the fastest way to confirm your controller and slot are behaving before you queue.
