The v42.10 update landed on September 3 at 4:00 AM PT and added two new Match Overrides, Big Heads and Prop Hunt, along with fresh Sprites and Loot Hacks. Which Season 4 weapons should you retune first?

Override brought a stack of returning guns back into rotation and added more through the Loot Hack system, which lets you spend Sprite Dust to pull specific weapons into your own personal pool mid-match. Did Season 4 change how controller aim assist feels?

Yes, and this is the change most players missed entirely. The Chapter 7 Season 4 patch notes list a fix for an issue where aim assist could pull away from an enemy while both of you were moving up or down a hill. If you spend time in the hillier POIs, your tracking baseline genuinely shifted under you.

That matters more than it sounds, because a boosted aim assist mod stacks on top of whatever the game is already doing. How do you reset your Cronus Zen for Override?

Work through this in order. It reads slower than it actually goes.

1. Get your firmware current first. Cronus now handles firmware through a web updater instead of inside Zen Studio, so you hold the small blue reset button while plugging the Zen into the CONSOLE/PC port at the back, wait for the screen to read ZEN BOOTLOADER, then run the official Cronus firmware tool in Chrome or Edge. Firefox and Safari will not complete it, which is why so many older tutorials leave people stuck.
2. Write your old values down somewhere off the device. You want a record to compare against once the new tuning settles, and slot exports vanish the moment you overwrite them.
3. Load your current script build before changing anything. Running a Season 3 build against Season 4 and then tuning on top of it just buries the problem one layer deeper.
4. Reset every mod to default. Aim assist boost, anti-recoil, rapid fire, all of it back to stock, because you are tuning against a changed game and old numbers are noise.
5. Retune in Creative, one gun at a time. Take the AR first, hold a full spray at mid range on a static wall, and adjust vertical until the pattern stops drifting up.

Do not tune in live matches. You get one spray per fight, you are stressed, and you will convince yourself a value works because you won the fight for unrelated reasons.

Do I need a different script for Chapter 7 Season 4?

You need a current build rather than a different product, assuming your script is one that gets retuned each season. What breaks at a season boundary is the tuning, not the script itself. Load the latest version, reset to default, and retune against the Season 4 weapon pool.

Why does my anti-recoil overcorrect after a season change?
