NBA 2K27 Auto Green Settings: The Values That Actually Matter
What Auto Green actually does in NBA 2K27, the release timing each build height needs, and how to tune it in one session instead of guessing.
Auto Green timing in NBA 2K27 starts at 605 ms for a build 6'2 and under, 625 ms at 6'3 to 6'4, 635 ms at 6'5 to 6'6, 640 ms at 6'7 to 6'10, and 660 ms at 6'11 and above. Set your build height before you flash, then adjust in steps of 10 ms until the shot feedback stops reading early or late.
Auto Green on a Cronus Zen handles the release timing of your jump shot. You still create the look and take the shot. The script controls the moment the ball leaves your hands, which is the part that drifts when you are tired, pressured or on a bad connection. This page is the settings side of that: what the numbers do on our Nets script, and how to dial them in without wasting a night.
The one setting that decides everything: build height
Auto Green is a hold time measured in milliseconds. Your build height decides the starting value, because a guard and a big man do not release at the same point in the animation.
Nets sets this for you from the height you pick in the loader before flashing. These are the actual values it uses:
| Build height | Auto Green timing |
|---|---|
| 6'2 and under | 605 ms |
| 6'3 to 6'4 | 625 ms |
| 6'5 to 6'6 | 635 ms |
| 6'7 to 6'10 | 640 ms |
| 6'11 and above | 660 ms |
The gap between a small guard and a big is 55 ms. That is a miss on every single shot if you flash on the wrong height, and it is the most common reason someone thinks a working script is broken. Set the height in the loader first, every time.
Auto Green only fires on standing shots
This one catches people out, so it is worth being blunt about. On Nets, Auto Green fires when you click the right stick while you are stationary and off turbo. If you are pushing the left stick hard or holding turbo, it deliberately does not fire.
That is on purpose. It stops the script hijacking a shot you never meant to take, and it keeps your steals, passes and blocks clean. If you click and nothing happens, you were moving.
Shooting off the dribble is a different animation with a different release point, which means it needs its own timing value rather than the standing one. Treat them as two separate settings, because that is what they are.
How to tune it in one session
Go to MyCourt, not the park. Then:
- Take ten shots on the value your height gave you and watch the feedback, not the make.
- If it says early, raise the value. If it says late, lower it.
- Move in steps of 10, and take ten shots between every change.
- Change one value at a time. If you move two, you learn nothing.
Most builds land within 20 ms of the starting number. If you are 100 ms out and still missing, the problem is not the value, it is your jumpshot. Read on.

When the timing is not the problem
Two things will beat any timing value you enter.
A bad release window grade. 2K27 grades every jumper you build on its release window. If yours is a C or below, the window is small enough that nothing consistent fits in it. We cover the specific animations worth using in our NBA 2K27 jumpshot settings guide.
Contest. Contest detection is tighter in 2K27 than it was last year. A green window does not save a heavily contested fadeaway. Take the open look.
If the value is right and the jumpshot grades well and greens still vanish, the cause is usually the slot, the firmware or latency. The auto green fix checklist walks those in order. Everything else about the script, from what changed in 2K27 shooting to which platforms it runs on, lives in our guide to the best NBA 2K27 Cronus Zen script.

FAQ
What is the best Auto Green setting for NBA 2K27?
There is no single best value, because it depends on your build height and your jumpshot. Start from the height table above, then adjust in steps of 10 until your feedback stops saying early or late.
Why does my Auto Green not fire?
You were probably moving or holding turbo. Auto Green is gated to standing shots on purpose so it cannot steal a shot you did not intend to take.
Does Auto Green guarantee a make?
No. Timing is one input into the shot calculation, alongside your ratings, contest level, fatigue and shot type. It raises your make rate on shots you should already be making, and it does nothing for shots you should not be taking.
Do I have to retune after changing my jumpshot?
Yes. A different jumpshot has a different release point, so the millisecond value moves with it. Pick a jumper, then tune to it, and stop swapping while you are dialing in.
